BREDA seeks bids for 200MW solar on Bihar Govt rooftops

Bihar Renewable Energy Development Agency, commonly known as BREDA, has recently issued a tender for the installation of grid-connected rooftop solar power plants of various capacities. This initiative falls under the CAPEX model and aims to establish solar power plants with an estimated capacity of 200 MW across government buildings in Bihar.

The tender from BREDA called for bids through a national competitive bidding process (NCB). It solicited proposals for the design, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of solar projects, inclusive of warranty, comprehensive operation, and maintenance for a period of five years. The scope of work also encompassed the operation and maintenance of grid-connected rooftop solar power plants for the same duration.

Prospective bidders were required to submit an Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) amounting to Rs 10 million.

The cost of acquiring the tender document from BREDA was set at Rs. 11,800/-, inclusive of GST at 18%, which is deemed non-refundable.

The online sale of tender documents commenced on April 24, 2024, at 11:00 Hrs.

A Pre-Bid Meeting, conducted physically, was scheduled for May 8, 2024, at 11:00 Hrs.

The deadline for online submission of tender documents was set for May 27, 2024.

Bidders were instructed to submit the original EMD and tender document cost, along with the bid processing fee and signed tender document, including all required supporting documents in hard copy, by May 28, 2024, up to 14:00 Hrs.

The Techno-Commercial Part (Part-I) of the tender was slated for opening on May 28, 2024, commencing at 15:30 Hrs.
