Tata Power, Rustomjee partners to set up EV Charging infrastructure

Tata Power announced that it has collaborated with the real estate developer Rustomjee Group to provide Electric Vehicle (EV) charging solutions in their residential and commercial projects in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR).

Under the collaboration, Tata Power shall install EV charging infrastructure in the Rustomjee residential projects in the MMR. The EV owners will have access to an around-the-clock charging facility and maintenance support. The customers will be able to connect via the Tata Power EZ Charge mobile app for all the services such as e-payments and remote vehicle charging monitoring.

Tata Power, Head- EV Sandeep Bangia told the media that the company is happy to partner with Rustomjee Group and feels that the collaboration shall hasten the transition to EV adoption in Mumbai city. It is a step toward the decarbonisation of transportation and making EVs more mainstream.

Tata Power via their Tata Power EZ Charge has established over 100 EV charging points in Mumbai city and over 1,300 charging points in India.

Tata Power has partnered with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), amã Stays & Trails, Apollo Tyres, TVS Motors, and others to establish EV charging infrastructure. Rustomjee Group has delivered over 280 buildings, 20 million sq ft of space, and 14,000+ homes. The Maharashtra government also has announced plans to set up EV charging infrastructure in Maharashtra.
