NTPC subsidiary invites bids for solar projects in Maharashtra

A wholly-owned subsidiary of NTPC, NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Ltd (NVVN), invited bids to buy land for setting solar power projects under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krishi Vahini Yojana in Maharashtra.

According to the requirement, NVVN will buy the land and have a lease agreement with the applicants. The tenure for lease will be 30 years from the signing date of the lease agreement, in the case of a lease agreement.

The deadline for submitting the bids is June 17, 2021, and the bids will be opened on the same day.

Registered farmer producer organisations, partnerships, cooperative societies, public sector undertakings, private landowners, sole proprietorships, entrepreneurs, companies, and government companies will be eligible to participate in the bidding. Overseas corporate bodies and multinational companies having their offices in India can also participate in the bidding process.

Through this tender, NVVN is looking to get a minimum of nine acres of land and a maximum of 45 acres of land at a single location.

The land offered should be a single connected patch of at least nine acres and accessible by road. The land provided should not be at an aerial distance of more than 3 km from the state discom substation.
