Nilkanth coal mining wins Sherband coal block in 7th auction

According to an official statement, it was revealed that Nilkanth Coal Mining (NCMPL) had successfully secured a coal block during the seventh round of coal auctions initiated earlier in the present year. The Ministry of Coal mentioned that the coal mine had undergone partial exploration.

The Sherband coal block, situated in Chhattisgarh and possessing coal reserves of 90 million tonne (MT), was obtained by Nilkanth Coal Mining. The auctions for coal mines dedicated to commercial mining, encompassing the seventh round as well as the second attempt from the sixth round, were inaugurated by the Ministry of Coal on March 29, 2023.
