Tata Projects operates through six business units: EPC, transmission and distribution, transportation, construction and environment, urban infrastructure, and quality services. Of these, EPC, transmission and distribution, transportation, and construction and environment operate as part of its industrial infrastructure business. It also has enabling services with HR, supply chain management and IT, as well as corporate shared services. In FY2018, its total income aggregated to Rs 92.232 billion (FY2017: Rs 67.2 billion), while quality services revenue stood at Rs 1.91 billion (FY2017: Rs 1.52 billion). The operating profit of the company for FY2018 was Rs 5.54 billion, compared to Rs 4.23 billion in FY2017 and the PAT increased to Rs 1.86 billion (FY2017: Rs 1.35 billion). For FY2018, its order booking aggregated to Rs 115.7 billion and total order backlog is now Rs 340.25 billion. Tata Projects plans to expand operations to identified geographical areas worldwide with experience and expertise gained in select verticals. Going forward, the management looks to deliver highly differentiated, value-based project implementation to its global customers with a focus on value rather than volume.
