The plan to elevate Yamuna Pushta Road to the status of a national highway is gaining momentum, positioning it as a key growth corridor for Noida and Greater Noida. The Noida Authority has formally requested the Uttar Pradesh government to declare a 30-kilometre stretch of the road as a National Highway. This stretch runs from Sector 94 near the Delhi border at Kalindi Kunj barrage to Sector 150, along the Noida Expressway, connecting with the Yamuna Expressway at Pari Chowk.
The proposed expressway development is set to ease traffic from the surge in corporate activity and the upcoming Noida International Airport, which will be operational in April next year. The Noida Authority had previously suggested this road as a bypass to the Noida Expressway, which currently handles around 500,000 vehicles daily. The plan includes constructing either an eight-lane road or a six-lane elevated corridor.
Manoj Gaur, President, CREDAI-NCR and CMD of Gaurs Group, emphasised that upgrading Yamuna Pushta Road to a national highway would ease traffic and unlock growth opportunities in both commercial and residential sectors. Improved accessibility and connectivity could drive real estate investment, making the region more attractive for both investors and homebuyers.
Sanjay Sharma, Director, SKA Group, echoed this sentiment, predicting that the road's development would spur residential and commercial growth. Enhanced infrastructure would draw homebuyers and developers, further accelerating the area's development.
Ajendra Singh, Vice-President- Sales and Marketing, Spectrum@Metro, highlighted that if the road achieves National Highway status, it would attract retail and commercial businesses, enhancing Noida and Greater Noida's already booming commercial real estate sector.
Harsh Gupta, CEO, Sundream Group, also pointed out that the project, while still in the planning phase, holds significant promise. The road will enhance connectivity, reduce congestion, and boost long-term real estate growth, particularly in the commercial sector, especially with the new Noida International Airport on the horizon.
