Residents in the eastern suburbs are eagerly anticipating the Wadala-Kasarvadavali Metro 4 project. During a citizens' meeting in Bhandup, Mahayuti candidate from Mumbai North East and Mulund MLA Mihir Kotecha informed voters that, according to him, the Metro line was likely to become operational in 15 months.

Kotecha conveyed to the media on Thursday that during his interaction with Bhandup residents earlier in the week, he had conveyed the following: "Our leader and deputy chief minister Devendra Fadnavis has expanded the metro network in Mumbai and has initiated metro projects across the city. A Japanese company, JICA, is providing financial assistance to the metro project in Mumbai. The work of the Metro 4 project was, however, stalled for two and a half years during the MVA government. But after the formation of the Mahayuti government in the state, it took the Japanese company four months to get the project back on track after receiving guarantees, assurances, and financing."

He further mentioned that currently, an additional 10% of work was being carried out daily at Metro-4 sites. "The work at Mulund on this route has been completed. The connection from Powai, Goregaon, and the car shed at Aarey has been completed and will be operational in two months. Therefore, this route can be started in the next 15 months," he stated.
