Udayshivakumar Infra (UIL) announced that, in a joint venture with KMC Construction (KMCCL), it had emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for three major National Highway projects in Karnataka, with a combined value of Rs 10.57 billion. UIL entered into three joint ventures with KMCCL to bid for National Highways Project works under the EPC mode in Karnataka. All three joint ventures won the bidding and were designated as the L1 (Lowest Bidder No.1).
The projects, awarded under the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) mode, involve road widening and shoulder paving.
The largest of these projects is the Rs 3.66 billion widening of a 36.5 km stretch on NH-69, Honnavar-Chittoor Section. The second project, valued at Rs 2.99 billion, involves widening two lanes on NH-150A, covering a distance of 48 km from KB Cross to Nelligere. The third project, worth Rs 3.91 billion, entails widening a 60.2 km stretch of NH-548B from Murgundi to Chikkodi. Each project has a completion timeline of 24 months. UIL and KMCCL are now awaiting Letters of Acceptance (LOA) from the National Highways Authority of India to proceed with the execution.
