State Bank of India (SBI), recognized as the largest lender in the country, disclosed that it had approved a substantial project loan amounting to Rs 100.50 billion for a significant thermal power initiative undertaken by Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC). The loan is intended to support DVC's plans for a major energy project known as the 1,600 MW Ultra Super Critical Thermal Power Project.
The project, as outlined in an official statement, entails the establishment of two separate units, each with a capacity of 800 MW. These units will be situated in Koderma, Jharkhand, marking a notable advancement in the region's power generation infrastructure.
