Rs 2 lakh crore highway projects to be approved by Dec: Gadkari

The government is set to approve highway projects worth ?2 lakh crore by December, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, announced recently. These projects are part of the government's ongoing efforts to strengthen infrastructure across the nation. Gadkari emphasized that the approval process for these major projects would be expedited to meet the December deadline.

Addressing a public event, Gadkari highlighted the significant investments being made to enhance road networks and improve connectivity. The ministry is committed to upgrading highways that will facilitate smoother transportation and boost economic growth. The projects will be funded through a mix of government allocations, private investments, and public-private partnerships (PPP).
