Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) allocates 1,030 homes to members of the financially weaker sections of society through an annual lottery under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) scheme.
Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) building approvals department head Prashant Waghmare told the media that the work on these projects is 50% complete. The ownership of the properties will be given by March 2023. The said apartments will be available in areas such as Kharadi, Hadapsar and Wadgaon. More than 20,000 applications have come in. PMC had held an online lottery for the same in October 2020. However, some buyers who got apartments in the lottery could not purchase them because of several reasons. It left 1,030 flats unclaimed. As a result, a lottery for these remaining flats was finally called, and the names of beneficiaries were declared this week. Image Source
