In Jammu & Kashmir, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will officially open and lay the groundwork for 84 significant development projects valued at over Rs 15 billion. A PMO statement states that projects pertaining to water supply plans, higher education infrastructure, and road infrastructure would be inaugurated.
The Prime Minister will also lay the cornerstone for other initiatives, including the expansion of industrial estates, the building of six government degree colleges, and the enhancement of the Chenani-Patnitop-Nashri Section.
The 18 billion rupee Competitiveness Improvement in Agriculture and Allied Sectors (JKCIP) Project will also be introduced by the prime minister. The project would encompass 1.5 million beneficiaries and be executed in 90 Blocks spread over 20 districts in Jammu and Kashmir. The initiative's outreach will be 300,000 homes.
'Empowering Youth, Transforming J&K' is an event that PM Modi will take part in while in Srinagar at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC).
This event, which highlights accomplishments and encourages future aspirants, is a critical turning point for the area. The Prime Minister will visit stalls and speak with Jammu and Kashmir's Young Achievers on this special occasion. Additionally, the appointment letters for approximately 2,000 newly appointed government employees will be given out by the prime minister. According to the release, the laying of the foundation stone, the inauguration, and the start of these projects would improve Jammu and Kashmir's infrastructure and give the young more power. A multi-tiered security blanket has been installed in advance of the Union Territory visit by the Prime Minister.
"The security is multi-tiered. The high-alert security arrangement has been set up here in accordance with security protocols, IGP Kashmir Zone Vidhi Kumar Birdi told ANI. Additionally, the Srinagar police issued directives designating the city as a "Temporary Red Zone" for the use of quadcopters and drones. According to the authorities, any illegal drone activities in the Red Zone might result in penalties under the applicable Drone Rules, 2021.
