The Uttar Pradesh government revealed its intentions to transform the Noida International Airport into a premier civil aviation hub. Its establishment as a significant transportation hub for the Asia-Pacific area is the goal. To raise passenger and flight handling capacities to international levels, the state government declared that the Noida International Airport is being built on the Zurich Airport model from Switzerland. About 75 kilometres from Delhi, in the western Uttar Pradesh district of Gautam Buddh Nagar, is where the greenfield airport is being built. After Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi, it will be the second international airport in the National Capital Region. In particular, the Noida International Airport near Jewar is being constructed as the nation's first transit centre, with plans to make it the first transit hub for Asia Pacific in India, according to the statement. Using an e-tendering system, the government has sped up the procedures for managing operations, awarding licenses, and selecting consultants and employees for the airport. Numerous projects are being expedited by Noida International Airport Limited (NIAL) in association with the local industrial development agencies. These include finishing the airport's construction and operations and erecting the facility's foundational infrastructure. The goal of Yamuna International Airport Private Limited (YIAPL) is to build the airport in compliance with the guidelines established by the central and Uttar Pradeshi governments. Zurich Airport International AG, the Swiss company that obtained the concessionaire contract for the PPP project, is the sole owner of Yamuna International Airport Private Limited (YIAPL). The statement claims that in order to complete the development projects, NIAL and the local industrial development authorities are accepting submissions from different businesses via Requests for Proposal (RFP) and Requests for Quotation (RFQ). "In keeping with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's vision for the comprehensive development of the Jewar Airport, a detailed action plan has been swiftly implemented," the statement said. Requests for Proposals (RFPs) have been released by the government in an effort to speed up the licensing procedure for the construction of electric car charging stations. Applications are also being accepted for recruiting staff to handle the canteen and do electrical maintenance. The announcement also stated that license requests are being accepted for the airport's fuel station design, development, commissioning, funding, and operation. Currently, construction is ongoing for the first phase of airport development, covering an area of over 1,300 hectares. The entire airport is planned to be developed across 5,000 hectares in four phases.
