L&T Casts the Base Slab of Chhatarpur Metro Station

01 Jan 2023

On December 8, Larsen & Toubro poured concrete into the casting of the first base slab for the Chhatarpur Station of the Delhi Metro's 23.622 km Silver Line, which has 16 stations and runs from Aerocity to Tughalakabad. In August 2022, construction began on Package DC-09, a 5.68-kilometer underground stretch. The underground station, which is expected to be about 20 meters deep, will be connected to the Yellow Line's existing elevated Chhatarpur Station, making it simple to move between the two.

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) was given a contract for package DC-09 of the 65.1 km Delhi Metro Phase 4 project worth Rs 142,800 million with a 42-month deadline. Between Kishangarh Station (chainage 5356.285) and a cut-and-cover ramp west of Saket G Block Station (chainage 11867.000), a 6.51-kilometer section will include four stations: Neb Sarai, IGNOU, Chhattarpur Mandir, and Chhattarpur (the Yellow Line interchange). The four Tunnel Boring Machines (TBMs) used in this project are likely to be the same as those used in Bangalore Metro's Phase 2: DZ669 (Avni), DZ670 (Urja), DZ671 (Vindhya), and DZ672 (Lavi). However, confirmation for the same is still pending.
