Illegal Colonies Demolished in Haripur Chaopar Village

01 Aug 2023

The District Town Planner's (DTP) office conducted a demolition operation in Haripur Chaopar village targeting two unauthorized settlements. A residence in DLF Valley was affixed with seals due to a breach of construction guidelines. This initiative was executed in accordance with the Periphery Control Area and the Urban Areas Development and Regulation Act of 1975.

In the course of the operation, bulldozers were employed to dismantle roads, perimeter walls, and damp proof courses (DPCs) in the unauthorized settlements. Jaideep, the District Town Planner, mentioned that these colonies had been formally declared unlawful, thus justifying the legality of the intervention. The demolition endeavor was attended by Assistant District Town Planner (ADTP) Ashok Kumar, Subdivisional Engineer (SDO) Vinod Kumar, Deepak from the Public Health Engineering Department, and a police demolition team.

Jaideep, the DTP, emphasized that the individuals responsible for the unauthorized constructions had received prior notifications. He stressed the importance of obtaining authorization from the Haryana Department of Town and Country Planning Director prior to establishing a settlement or making property investments within one. He cautioned the public against investing in homes or businesses within colonies lacking the necessary CLU (Change of Land Use) permit or license.
