The Gujarat government has successfully auctioned 25 major mineral blocks and 2,280 minor mineral blocks, issuing Letters of Intent (LoIs) to eligible leaseholders during a ceremony marking ‘Entrepreneurship Day’. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel personally handed over the LoIs, acknowledging the vital role of entrepreneurs in the state’s development, according to an official release.
As part of the ‘Vikas Saptah’ initiative, Gujarat auctioned 25 major blocks and issued intent letters to 20 leaseholders. Additionally, 2,280 minor mineral blocks were auctioned to foster economic activity in the state.
Among the major allocations, Bharat Quarry Workers received 50-year mining leases for two blocks—Shepa Limestone and Marl Block and Varvada Limestone and Marl Block—both situated in Junagadh district. Shri Jessa Ranmal Kandoriya was awarded a 50-year lease for the Varvada Limestone and Marl Block in Devbhumi Dwarka district, while Ashokkumar Amrutbhai Patel secured a lease for Harsol Block-1 in Sabarkantha district.
In the Nadapa region of Bhuj, Gokul Dangar was granted an LoI for a quarry lease related to China Clay minerals.
This auction reflects Gujarat’s commitment to promoting mining and entrepreneurship, ensuring sustainable economic growth across the state.
