Gensol Engineering Limited, a prominent name in India’s renewable energy sector, has won a Rs 7.8 billion turnkey EPC contract to develop a 150 MWac ground-mounted solar PV power plant in Maharashtra. Awarded by a major public sector utility, the project will span 15 months, with Gensol responsible for the entire development lifecycle.
The contract tasks Gensol with overseeing land acquisition, design, engineering, procurement, and logistics, alongside manufacturing, supply, and installation of the solar plant. Their role includes erecting, testing, and commissioning the grid-connected system and building power evacuation infrastructure tied to the State Transmission Utility (STU) substation. Gensol will also provide three years of operations and maintenance (O&M) services, covering both the plant’s switchyard and transmission infrastructure. (ET)
