Dhadhar river bridge completed for Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train

The National High Speed Rail Corporation Ltd (NHSRCL) announced that the construction of the Dhadhar river bridge in Gujarat's Vadodara district has been completed, advancing the Mumbai-Ahmedabad bullet train project. This 120-meter bridge comprises three full-span girders of 40 meters each and several circular piers ranging from 16 to 20 meters in height, with diameters of 4 to 5 meters.

Located between Bharuch and Vadodara, the bridge is part of a network of 24 river bridges along the bullet train corridor, with 20 in Gujarat and four in Maharashtra. NHSRCL stated, "The construction of seven river bridges has already been completed, including those over the rivers Par, Puma, Mindhola, Ambika, Auranga, Venganiya, and Mohar."

The Indian Railways has announced that the first phase of the bullet train project, from Surat to Bilimora in Gujarat, will be operational by 2026. (Source: ET)
