CPWD floats tenders for two solar projects at IISER Odisha

Central Public Works Department (CPWD) floated tenders to install two solar systems, including a 1.65 MW grid-connected rooftop and ground-mounted solar power at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) in Berhampur, Odisha.

The successful bidder will be responsible for the operation and maintenance (O&M) activities for five years.

The project includes designing, engineering, obtaining a no-objection certificate (NOC) from the distribution company (discom) for grid connectivity, manufacturing, supplying, constructing, erecting, testing, commissioning and associated civil works for the solar projects.

The deadline to submit online bids is 21 June 2022 and will be opened on the same day.

The estimated cost of the project is Rs 110.86 million and must be completed within nine months.

Interested bidders must submit Rs 2.11 million as an earnest money deposit. The successful bidder must submit an amount equivalent to 3% of the tendered value as a performance bank guarantee.

To participate in the bidding, bidders should have completed three similar projects of not less than Rs 44.35 million, two similar projects of not less than Rs 66.52 million or one of not less than Rs 88.69 million in the last seven years.

The work will be enhanced at the rate of 7% per annum from the date of completion to the last date of submitting the bid.

The bidders should have an average annual financial turnover of a minimum of Rs 55.43 million during the last three financial years. They should not have incurred any loss in more than two years in the last five consecutive years.

The eligible bidders should have a bank solvency certificate for Rs 44.35 million and a net worth of at least Rs 11.09 million.

The output peak watt capacity of the solar modules should be at least 90% at the end of ten years and 80% at the end of 25 years.

Recently, Odisha Renewable Energy Development Agency (OREDA) floated tenders for 1.058 MW of rooftop solar power and 44 solar street lighting systems at government buildings.
