Allcargo Group, an Indian born global logistics conglomerate, organised a series of activities at its skill development centres located around Mumbai to ensure health and wellbeing of women. By organising health check-up camps and social awareness development initiatives, Allcargo Group acknowledged the achievements of women and continued with its endeavour to encourage people in general to support and uplift women and build an equitable and inclusive society.
At the Allcargo Skill Development Training Centre at Dhamni, Panvel, an eye check-up camp was organised for the residents of Dhamni and surrounding villages and the local tribal communities in collaboration with Sankalp Manav Vikas Sanstha and Saad Foundation. At the day-long camp, 136 women underwent eye check-up and many received free eye glasses and support and guidance for further treatments and eye surgeries from the medical team.
Allcargo Group organised a special session at its Skill Development Centre at Belapur, Navi Mumbai for the students to raise awareness on critical issues such as acid attacks, domestic violence, societal ignorance and the importance of empowering women through education and self-defence training. Alka Patil, Assistant Police Inspector, Central Unit, Crime Branch, Mumbai Police, was the chief guest of the event.
A rally was organised at Allcargo Skill Development Centre at Ishwar Nagar, Digha in Navi Mumbai, with the support from Sankalp Manav Vikas Sanstha and Project Bala in which a number of women came together to build awareness on women?s rights and gender equality. At the health check-up camp organised, sanitary pads were distributed and Dr. Datta Prasad, a naturopathic practitioner, and his team offered treatments and healthcare guidance to many teenage girls and women.
The Allcargo Women Empowerment and Livelihood Skill Development Training Centre at Bokadvira, Uran, Navi Mumbai organised a breast cancer screening and awareness camp in association with Niramay Health Care Foundation. The medical team also held a session on building awareness on the causes and preventive measures related to diseases like tuberculosis.
