Truck mounted boom pumps, stationary concrete pumps has shown good growth

The market for concrete equipment has been growing over the last few years, and given the focus on boosting India’s infrastructure, the growth is expected to continue. “Added to this is the fact that the construction industry still has some way to go in adopting mechanisation,” says Wilfried Theissen, Managing Director, Putzmeister India. “We believe that there is still immense potential for growth in the industry,” he adds, sharing more...

Which concrete equipment is witnessing maximum growth?

The market for truck mounted boom pumps and stationary concrete pumps has shown good growth. The demand for plastering and screeding machines is also increasing.

Which are the segments driving maximum demand?

Infrastructure and affordable housing projects are driving maximum demand for concrete equipment. As India works on realising its infrastructure and housing plans, the pressure to deliver projects effectively and on time increases. Mechanising construction practices is the only solution.

Introduce us to your recent launches.

Putzmeister has introduced a slew of products in the last couple of years. Batching plants, transit mixers, plastering and screeding equipment, and special concrete equipment for tunnelling and mining applications. At bauma CONEXPO INDIA 2018, we introduced a new variant on our 30 30 cu m per hour and launched two plastering machines. We also added the P7 PTO to our transit mixer offering recently. And we will continue adding more products to help meet our customer’s concreting requirements.

Our experience and expertise garnered over 60 years of working with customers on a very wide range of applications and in the harshest environment conditions gives us the ability to deal with challenging projects. Putzmeister equipment is characterised by reliability, ease of operation, low on maintenance and a long service life. We offer state-of-the-art technology on our equipment to help customers improve productivity, safety and profitability. Our equipment has helped construct iconic projects around the world.

Any after-sales services that you offer your buyers?

When you invest in Putzmeister, you do not just get the right equipment, you also get quality service and application support. We provide a combination of classroom and field training to ensure that the operators and site managers know how to get the best of our equipment. We provide a higher ratio of service engineers to customers to ensure that customers get the support that they need. About 90 per cent of our service cases get resolved within a day. We also offer operations and management support to our customers on more challenging projects – a Putzmeister team works as part of the project team to ensure optimum delivery and minimal downtime on all our equipment.
