PCIL to open packaging unit in Maharashtra

Penna Cement Industries (PCIL), the cement manufacturer with a strong presence in South and North India, has now entered the western region with the launch of its cement products in Maharashtra. The company is planning to set up a packaging unit at Panvel in Maharashtra with an investment of Rs 100 crore.

The company aims at a sales turnover of Rs 2,000 crore in FY 2010-11 and Rs 2,200 crore in FY 2011-12. The company expects the Maharashtra unit to be operational in the next 12 months.
