3D-printed cement to contribute in resilient buildings

A 3D-printed cement paste has been created by researchers, that strengthens after it cracks. According to a study, this will consequently lead to more earthquake-resistant buildings. Engineers are expected to get more control over the design and performance from 3D-printed cement-based materials such as mortar, cement paste and concrete. 3D printing cement-based materials can lead to the creation of more damage-resistant structural elements like beams or columns.
