UP achieves 50% milestone in Har Ghar Jal initiative

The achievement of Uttar Pradesh was acknowledged by the Central government, which congratulated the Yogi government. Swatantra Dev Singh, the Jal Shakti minister, and Anurag Srivastava, the principal secretary of Namami Gange and Rural Water Supply department, extended their congratulations to the officials, engineers, and staff involved in the implementation of the scheme. The Har Ghar Jal scheme was implemented in remote areas across nine districts in the Bundelkhand and Vindhyan regions. In the Bundelkhand region, seven districts witnessed over 11 lakh families receiving clean water supply. Among these districts, Mahoba stood out with the highest number of new tap connections. In fact, 91.8% of rural families in Mahoba now have access to clean water. In the Vindhyan region, the scheme covered more than four lakh rural families.
