Nashik Civic Chief Tells PWD To Fix Potholes Immediately

Municipal commissioner Manisha Khatri directed the public works department (PWD) to immediately fill up potholes on all the roads across the city. The instructions came during the review meeting of the civic PWD and the Nashik Municipal Smart City Development Corporation Ltd (NMSCDCL) . Khatri took serious note of several complaints received from the city residents about potholes on most of the roads. Many residents and representatives from different organisations had met the civic chief and complained about the potholes which are also leading to accidents.
The municipal commissioner also instructed city engineer Sanjay Agrawal to ensure that the PWD officials from all the six divisions visit the roads in their respective areas on a regular basis and undertake repair works wherever required.
She also instructed the city engineer to submit a report about the measures taken for repairing road potholes in the city within a week.
Khatri also instructed both PWD and smart city company officials to work together. "Officials from the PWD and smart city company need to have better coordination while carrying out the works in the city," Khatri said.
During the meeting, PWD officials gave a presentation about the various projects being undertaken by them. Khatri told the officials to ensure better quality of the roads while carrying out the road works in the city. The total length of the city roads in Nashik is around 2,000km, including 1,600-km of tar roads.
