TBM-3 Breaks Through at IGNOU Station on Golden Line

Delhi Metro’s Phase 4 project marked another milestone as TBM-3 (DZ1125) achieved a breakthrough at IGNOU Station on the Golden Line, following TBM-4’s earlier breakthrough. Deployed by L&T from Chhattarpur Mandir Station in November 2023, TBM-3 completed the construction of a 1,470m up-line tunnel, reaching IGNOU Station.

This achievement is the sixth tunnel breakthrough within Package DC-09, which covers a 6.51 km stretch from Kishangarh to Saket G Block with stations at Chhattarpur, Chhattarpur Mandir, IGNOU, and Neb Sarai. The TBMs will now be deployed to construct around 1.2 km of twin tunnels toward Neb Sarai.
