RVNL bags Nagpur Metro Phase 2 Viaduct Package C-01’s Contract

Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) said last week in a regulatory filing that it has been deemed the lowest bidder for 6.92 km Package C-01 in Reach 2A of Nagpur Metro's 43.8 km Phase 2 project.

The 13-kilometer-long elevated Reach 2A will connect Nagpur Metro's 19.658-kilometer-long Orange Line, which was completed in Phase 1, to the Kanhan River via 12 elevated stations.

Station construction and the viaduct connecting them are being bid on independently. Package C-01's scope of work solely includes the viaduct from east of Automotive Square Station to Lekha Nagar Station.

In February 2023, Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MAHA-METRO) issued an invitation for bids for its construction, with an undetermined budget and a 30-month completion target. In April 2023, technical bids were invited.

Brief Scope: Design And Construction Of Elevated Metro Viaduct Of Length 6.92 Km Between Ch. (-) 657.182 M To Ch. (-) 7576.78 M In Reach 2A Of NMRP Phase-2.

Package C-05 will be used to build 6 stations that are now under construction in Pili Nadi, Khasara Fata, All India Radio, Kheri Fata, Lok Vihar, and Lekha Nagar. Bids were requested in March 2023, and on June 14 technical bids were opened.
