Muzaffarpur Station’s world-class redevelopment to Finish by 2026

The redevelopment of Muzaffarpur railway station, envisioned as a world-class transport hub, is on track to be completed by the end of the 2025-26 fiscal year, with an estimated budget of Rs 442 crore. Chairman of the Railway Board, Satish Kumar, visited the site to inspect the ongoing construction and emphasized maintaining high-quality standards.

The new multi-storied station, part of the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, will feature modern facilities, including Wi-Fi, solar power, rainwater harvesting, and waste management systems. The station's upgraded design also includes enhanced passenger movement areas, with separate entry and exit points and new ticket booking facilities, to ensure a seamless experience for travelers.
