Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train: Construction speeds at Ahmedabad

Significant progress is being made in the construction of the Ahmedabad Bullet Train Station, a key part of India’s high-speed rail network. According to the Ministry of Railways, critical structural work, including the concourse and rail-level slab, has been completed.

The finishing touches are now underway, with efforts focused on timely completion. The Ministry recently shared images showing the station's progress from April 2023 to August 2024, underscoring the rapid advancements.

The Ahmedabad Bullet Train Station is a vital component of the Mumbai–Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail Corridor (MAHSR). This project, which began in April 2020, aims to improve transportation and connectivity between Mumbai and Ahmedabad. A 50-km stretch from Surat to Bilimora is expected to be operational by August 2026, with the full Gujarat segment completed by 2027 and the remaining section to Mumbai by the end of 2028. (FE)
