Khattar vows timely execution of Lucknow Metro’s Phase 2

Union Minister for Urban Development and Energy, Manohar Lal Khattar, reassured the public that the delayed second phase of the Lucknow Metro project would be completed on time. During a press conference, Khattar emphasized the importance of smart, prepaid electricity meters to combat power theft and enhance energy efficiency in Uttar Pradesh.

Khattar also announced plans to invest in renewable energy sources, including solar and wind power, and highlighted major urban development projects, such as the upcoming Delhi-Meerut Rapid Rail Transit System (RRTS) extension and a new metro link to Jewar Airport. The government aims to provide cleaner energy and improve public transportation infrastructure across the state.
