IRCON Gets Rs 872 Cr Railway Order in Madhya Pradesh

Ircon International Limited (IRCON), through its joint venture with SSNR Projects Private Limited (IRCON-SSNR JV), has secured a significant railway infrastructure project from Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd.

The scope includes the construction of Tunnel T1 (from Km 33+160 to Km 34+400) and Tunnel 2 (from Km 57+400 to Km 66+040), along with ballast-less track work and associated formations.

This contract is part of the new electrified broad-gauge railway line between Mangliyagaon (Indore) and Budni stations, spanning 198 km across the Ratlam and Bhopal divisions in Madhya Pradesh.

The contract is valued at Rs 872.69 crore (inclusive of GST) and will be executed over 40 months, followed by a six-month defect liability period. IRCON holds a 70 percent share worth Rs 610.88 crore, while SSNR Projects holds the remaining 30 percent.

The project aims to improve connectivity and infrastructure within the central Indian state, supporting both passenger and freight operations as part of the broader railway modernisation plan.
