Indian Railways working on enhancing train speed

59,524 kilometers of broad gauge (BG) railroad track have been electrified across the nation as of this writing, according to latest information from Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. In a written response to a question in Parliament, Vaishnaw supplied this information.

The completion of Indian Railways' electrification projects is dependent on a number of factors, including obtaining permission from forest officials, moving obstructive utilities, obtaining required approvals from various authorities, evaluating the area's geological and topographical conditions, taking into account the law-and-order situation on project site, and accounting for the number of viable working months per year due to climatic conditions.

These factors collectively affect the project's schedule for completion. Vaishnaw stated in the written response that as a result, it is not yet possible to establish an exact timetable for the completion of these initiatives.
