Gurugram’s Key Corridor Set for Expansion
The Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA), overseeing the project, has already funded utility relocations. Authorities are now finalizing cost estimates for shifting electricity, water, and sewage lines, with relocation work expected to take six months.
Initially planned in 2021, the 3.2-kilometre extension faced delays due to land acquisition and encroachments. This corridor is a vital link where traffic from Sohna Road, Dwarka Expressway, national highways, and Old Gurugram converges, leading to severe congestion. Residents have long demanded a flyover or wider roads to ease bottlenecks.
With funding secured and utility shifting underway, the project is expected to move forward soon, bringing much-needed relief to commuters.
