Construction of 11.56 Km Delhi-Greater Noida Metro Link to Begin Soon
To prepare for the upcoming construction, NMRC has begun topographical surveys to evaluate the metro route’s impact on residential areas, commercial hubs, and high-rise developments. Simultaneously, soil testing along the proposed alignment is being carried out to assess ground conditions and ensure structural stability. These preparatory activities are expected to conclude within a month, paving the way for construction to commence soon after approval.
In addition to the Botanical Garden-Sector 142 corridor, NMRC is advancing plans for a 5 km metro extension from Sector 51 in Noida to Knowledge Park-5 in Greater Noida West. This expansion is designed to improve connectivity within the region and integrate more efficiently with the existing 29.7 km Aqua Line, which currently lacks a direct interchange with the Delhi Metro network.
The planned metro extensions are expected to significantly enhance urban mobility, offering better access to key locations, including the upcoming Jewar Noida International Airport. These initiatives align with NMRC’s broader strategy to strengthen public transport infrastructure and facilitate seamless travel across the Delhi-NCR region.
