Bengaluru Metro Green Line Opens

The Bengaluru Metro Green Line extension, a significant step in the city's public transport network, was opened for commercial operation on November 7. This extension enhances connectivity between key areas, particularly easing travel for thousands of commuters daily. It connects the northern and southern parts of Bengaluru, offering a faster, more efficient alternative to road transport.

The extension spans a critical section of the city, facilitating smoother commutes across busy urban zones. It is expected to reduce traffic congestion and air pollution, supporting the city’s broader efforts toward sustainable urban mobility. The newly opened section is well-equipped with modern amenities to ensure a comfortable ride for passengers.

With the Green Line now extended, Bengaluru’s metro network continues to grow, catering to the city’s expanding population. The completion of this project is a part of the larger efforts to make Bengaluru a more transit-oriented city and improve the overall urban transportation experience.

The metro system plays a pivotal role in Bengaluru’s infrastructure development. The Green Line extension aims to provide easy access to key locations, including business hubs and residential areas, making commuting more convenient for citizens.
