ARSS Infrastructure Projects has been awarded a significant work order valued at Rs 2.07 billion from the ABCI-SCPL-SIPS JV. This comprehensive contract encompasses a wide range of activities essential for the development, maintenance, and modernisation of railway infrastructure.

Key elements of the project include pairing and butting of tracks, installation of guard rails, and execution of flare portions. The scope also covers the supply and inspection of Permanent Way (P.Way) materials, such as rails, sleepers, and fittings, with quality checks conducted by the Research Designs and Standards Organisation (RDSO). Additionally, the contract involves the renewal of worn-out components, turnouts, and fittings to enhance track durability and performance.

Advanced track maintenance tasks are also a focus, including deep screening to clear ballast layers, ballast-related operations, welding activities, and reconditioning of points and crossings. To ensure operational efficiency, the contract involves the use of heavy track machines and small track machines for precision work at construction sites.

Further responsibilities include testing of rails and related components to meet safety and performance standards, along with handling miscellaneous items required for seamless execution. The electrification of railway tracks forms a crucial part of the project, aiming to enhance energy efficiency and operational capacity. This includes profile improvement, the provision of automatic switched neutral sections at Traction Substations (TSS) and Substations (SP), and the installation of two Sub Sectioning and Paralleling Posts (SSPs) for improved power distribution and track connectivity.
