Vadodara Secures Rs 3.16 Billion for New Ring Road Project

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel gave his approval for an estimated investment of Rs 316 billion for the development of the Vadodara Ring Road under the Swarnim Jayanti Mukhyamantri Shaheri Vikas Yojana. The initiative is intended to reduce traffic congestion and accommodate the city's swift growth.

Previously, the Vadodara Urban Development Authority (VUDA) had submitted a comprehensive proposal to the Gujarat Urban Development Mission (GUDM). According to the plan, the Vadodara Ring Road is expected to stretch around 66 kilometre in length and 75 meters in width. The project’s first phase will involve the construction of a 27.58-kilometre segment with a reduced width of 45 meters.

In this initial phase, 10.70 kilometre will be developed in the eastern zone and 16.84 kilometre in the western region of Vadodara. Authorities noted that this ring road will serve as a crucial connection between rapidly developing areas, thereby enhancing transportation and boosting economic activity.
