The assurance was made during a review meeting chaired by Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, at Vanijya Bhavan in New Delhi on Monday.

Chief Minister Manik Saha, who also oversees the Public Works Department, attended the meeting, as stated by the Chief Minister's Office (CMO). The proposed projects include Rs 8 billion for the Agartala Eastern Bypass, Rs 15 billion for widening the Amtali to Tripura Sundari Temple road, and Rs 4 billion for upgrading the road from Ranirbazar to the inter-state bus terminus (ISBT). Additionally, Rs 1 billion will be provided under the Central Road Fund (CRF).

Further discussions took place regarding the development of a new National Highway from Kamalpur to Gandacherra via Ambassa and from Amarpur to Sabroom, aimed at boosting international trade and tourism. The possibility of establishing a logistics park along the Eastern Bypass near Agartala on 100 acres of land and securing funds to repair National Highways damaged by floods were also topics of discussion.
