The State Public Works Department (PWD) has announced a firm deadline for the repair of National Highway 48 (NH-48) near Kolhapur. The extensive repair work, which has been a significant concern for local residents and commuters due to deteriorating road conditions, is scheduled to be completed by August 2024.

State PWD Minister, Ravindra Chavan, assured that the repair work would address critical issues such as potholes, uneven surfaces, and structural damage that have plagued this crucial transportation route. The repair work will be carried out in multiple phases to minimise disruption.
