Mumbai, the capital city of Maharashtra, is set to receive its first elevated forest walkway, offering visitors stunning views of the Arabian Sea. Inspired by Singapore's renowned forest walkways, the ambitious project is being developed by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) as part of an eco-friendly initiative. The walkway will also connect Kamala Nehru Park to Doongerwadi woods. Located in the Malabar Hill region, the 705-meter-long elevated walkway provides an incredible forest landscape, allowing walkers to enjoy uninterrupted views of the Arabian Sea.

The structure, made of wood, is carefully designed to blend seamlessly with the natural surroundings, minimizing disruption to water flow on the hill slopes and the movement of wildlife. One of the key features of the walkway will be a birdwatching area, where visitors can observe the region's diverse birdlife. Additionally, there will be a glass-bottom deck that offers beautiful views of the forest below.

The walkway's entry and exit points will be situated at Siri Road, right behind Kamala Nehru Park, with the wooden deck merging harmoniously with the green landscape. This thoughtful design reflects a balance between urban development and environmental conservation.
