The Yamuna Expressway, also known as the Taj Expressway, is a six-lane, access-controlled highway stretching 165.5 km from Delhi and connecting Noida, Mathura, and Agra, making it one of the region's busiest routes. Due to its importance as a key transport corridor, numerous developments and facilities have sprung up along its path, establishing it as a prominent location for both residential and commercial real estate projects.

The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has outlined plans to invest Rs 140 billion over the next five years to acquire 6,065 hectares of land near the upcoming Noida International Airport. This investment will be used to develop urban and industrial hubs, public amenities, and a logistics hub along the expressway to attract further investment.

Designed for speed and efficiency, the expressway connects Pari Chowk in Noida to Kuberpur in Agra along NH-2, linking several major cities in Uttar Pradesh. By bypassing NH-8, it has significantly reduced travel time between Delhi and Agra to around two-and-a-half hours. The expressway's infrastructure has also eased congestion on the eastern side of the Yamuna, particularly along the older GT Road and National Highway 2. Improved connectivity not only enhances the travel experience but also promotes the efficient movement of goods for trade and commerce. Additionally, the expressway links to the 302 km Agra-Lucknow Expressway via the inner Agra Ring Road, offering a direct route to Lucknow.
