GMDA to Revamp 64km of Master Sector Roads in Gurugram
The planned repairs cover sectors 23/23A, 18/19, Mahavir Chowk to Atul Kataria, sectors 15 (part 1 and 2), New Railway Road, Old Railway Road, and Civil Lines Road, totalling 28 km at an estimated cost of Rs 24.70 crore. Another project will repair approximately 19 km of roads in sectors 30/31 to 24/26, costing Rs 21.90 crore. Further repairs include stretches in sectors 81/81A to 86/87 and 90/91, totalling 17.55 km, at a combined cost of Rs 45.73 crore.
The GMDA is also focusing on strengthening service roads in sectors 58 to 67, with 17.2 km of roads set to be repaired at a cost of Rs 24.72 crore. This is expected to reduce congestion and improve connectivity in these growing sectors.
Additionally, a Rs 99.50 crore project along the Dwarka Expressway will develop 7.5-m-wide service roads, covering 15.30 km in sectors 81 to 115. The project will also enhance drainage systems and green spaces, benefitting local residential areas and improving access to the Northern Peripheral Road (NPR), easing traffic flow.
