According to the regulatory filing by the company with the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), Gayatri Projects has been declared the L1 bidder for a portion of the Bharatmala Pariyojana. This segment of the Economic Corridor under Phase 1 of the programme is the Uttar Pradesh portion of the six-lane, access-controlled Delhi-Saharanpur Highway from Delhi-UP border to EPE Junction in UP. The cost of the project, per the filing, is Rs 1,323.52 crore.

The 58-year-old Gayatri Group owns Gayatri Projects, which has assets of Rs 5,864 crore. The company’s share rose 4% in trade on Friday at the BSE after construction engineering company said it has been declared the lowest bidder.
