According to officials, a Pradhan Mandhri Grma Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) road connecting Dalhori to
Gadyog has been constructed for the first time in the hilly region of Rajouri district, improving road
connectivity in remote areas of Jammu and Kashmir. According to officials, the road in the Kotranka
subdistrict of the Rajouri district is 13 km long and passes through 6 panchayats. People in the
neighbourhood will finally get the travel relief they've been looking for thanks to this route. People
in this area, particularly students, had to walk to their destinations in order to fulfil their many
needs. Their voyage will be made easier and take less time after this route is constructed. They can
access the Tehsil and District offices as well as adjacent institutions and schools via this road.
The Pradhan Mantri Gramme Sadak Yojna (PMGSY-I) was introduced in 2000 as a one-time special intervention to connect eligible unconnected habitations of the defined population as per Census 2001 via a single all-weather road. PMGSY-II, which aims to upgrade 50,000 km across various states and union territories, was launched in 2013 for the upgrading of chosen Routes and Major Rural Links (MRLs). In order to improve the road connectivity in 44 of the worst-affected LWE districts and some adjacent districts in nine states, the Road Connectivity Project for Left Wing Extremism Affected Areas (RCPLWEA) was established in 2016 as a separate vertical under PMGSY.
