CIDCO invites tenders for coastal road project

CIDCO has taken a significant step towards enhancing road infrastructure in Navi Mumbai by inviting tenders for the construction of the Kharghar-Belapur Coastal Road Project. This project is part of a larger plan to improve connectivity and ease traffic congestion between Kharghar and Belapur, two key areas in the region. The coastal road, spanning approximately 9.12 kilometers, is designed to provide an alternative route to commuters and reduce the burden on existing road networks.

The road is planned to be a six-lane corridor, equipped with modern infrastructure, including underpasses, bridges, and proper drainage systems to handle stormwater. CIDCO aims to ensure that the project adheres to the highest standards of road safety and environmental sustainability. The project is expected to significantly reduce travel time between Kharghar and Belapur, benefitting residents, businesses, and tourists who frequent Navi Mumbai’s rapidly growing urban landscape.

CIDCO’s invitation for tenders outlines the requirements for contractors to undertake the project, including expertise in road construction, environmental management, and traffic flow improvement strategies. The bidding process is open, and contractors are encouraged to submit their proposals by the specified deadline.

The Kharghar-Belapur Coastal Road is part of CIDCO’s broader vision to transform Navi Mumbai into a well-connected, modern urban hub. By enhancing road infrastructure, CIDCO seeks to facilitate smoother commutes, improve logistics, and attract further investment into the region. Once completed, the coastal road is expected to reduce traffic bottlenecks, making Navi Mumbai more accessible and livable for its residents.

This project is aligned with the government’s focus on urban development and infrastructure expansion in key metropolitan regions, further establishing Navi Mumbai as a strategic location for business and real estate growth.
