Bengaluru to reduce carbon footprint gets 100 electric buses

Switch Mobility, an electric vehicle company, has delivered another 100 electric buses to Bengaluru, which are expected to reduce the city's carbon footprint. The Indian government has contributed Rs 5.5 million for each electric bus, while the Karnataka government has contributed 3.3 lakh. The buses are non-air conditioned and 12-metres long, with seating for 40 people (excluding the driver). They also have a wheel-chair mechanism that is also electrically operated.
