Noida Airport Conducts Validation Flight

Noida International Airport (NIA) conducted its first validation flight on Monday, marking a significant milestone in preparing for the start of commercial operations at the greenfield airport early next year.

The validation flight is a mandatory regulatory step for initiating scheduled flight operations at a new airport. This follows the successful calibration of the instrument landing system and other procedures in October by the Airports Authority of India, as instructed by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, as well as successful simulator trials for required navigation performance procedures.

The validation flight at the airport in Jewar was carried out using an Airbus A-320 aircraft to test the navigation and landing approach procedures.
