GMR Airports Ltd (GAL) has joined the United Nations Global Compact, reinforcing its commitment to corporate sustainability. GAL, which operates airports in Delhi, Hyderabad, Goa, and Medan (Indonesia), is also involved in developing Bhogapuram (Visakhapatnam) and Crete (Greece) airports while providing technical services to Mactan Cebu International Airport (Philippines). All GMR-operated airports hold green building certifications from either the US Green Building Council (USGBC) or the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC). In FY24, GAL served over 121 million passengers, highlighting its growing presence in global aviation. (money rediff)
