Airbus Helicopters collaborates with Heligo to launch H145 for India

Airbus Helicopters has partnered with Heligo Charters (HCPL) to introduce the H145 helicopter for operations in India's domestic energy sector, specifically offshore missions. This comes after HCPL signed a deal with Airbus earlier this year for six H145s under a by-the-hour service contract. As the launch customer for the H145 in India's oil and gas industry, HCPL will be deploying these helicopters to transport personnel and equipment for Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) to offshore locations across the subcontinent.

"This is a major step forward for the H145 in India," said Sunny Guglani, Head- India and South Asia, Airbus Helicopters. He highlighted HCPL's role as the launch customer for the H145 in India's oil and gas sector.

Designed for versatility and power, especially in hot and high-altitude environments, the H145 is the newest member of Airbus' twin-engine rotorcraft family. Its compact size and spacious cabin with flexible configuration make it ideal for manoeuvring in challenging environments like oil and gas helidecks, according to Airbus Helicopters.

"The H145 offers superior technology and unmatched reliability, leading to better operational efficiency," said Nayan Jagjeevan, CMD, HCPL. "Our choice of the five-bladed H145 for offshore operations reflects the commitment of both HCPL and Airbus to providing the best solution for India's offshore sector, prioritising both safety and efficiency."
