Air India Express to launch flights to Bangkok and Phuket

Air India Express, part of the Tata Group, is set to introduce flights to Bangkok and Phuket as part of its ongoing network expansion. The airline currently operates flights to 14 international destinations, primarily in the Middle East, along with 35 domestic cities. Its fleet consists of 90 aircraft, supporting over 400 daily flights.

A senior official confirmed that the new services to Thailand are in the pipeline. Additionally, the airline announced that it will commence operations to Jammu and Sri Vijaya Puram (Port Blair) starting December 1.

The carrier serves several key international destinations, including Abu Dhabi, Doha, Dubai, Kuwait, Ras al-Khaimah, Riyadh, Al Ain, Bahrain, Dammam, Jeddah, Muscat, Salalah, Sharjah, and Singapore. An official noted that Air India Express is actively expanding in the leisure travel sector while also strengthening routes focused on expatriate communities.

As part of its growth strategy, the airline has introduced the 'XPress Holidays' platform on its website, offering passengers the ability to book flights along with accommodations, transportation, and sightseeing activities.

Earlier this month, the airline completed its merger with AIX Connect, previously known as AirAsia India. Air India Express now operates a mixed fleet of 61 Boeing 737s and 29 Airbus A320s, enhancing its capacity for both domestic and international routes.
